P01F000Coolant temperature
(Coolant temperature relapsed below diagnostic monitoring temperature)
Diagnosis condition
  • After engine warmed up
  • Vehicle speed is more than 60km/h (37 MPH) and no fuel cut
Signal (terminal)Engine coolant temperature sensor signal
ThresholdWhen the engine coolant temperature is lower than threshold value, after vehicle is driven at 60km/h (37 MPH) or more for certain period. Make sure that the engine is warmed up to normal operating temperature before driving. Make sure that the engine is warmed up to normal operating temperature before driving.
Diagnosis delay time40 seconds or more
 
 
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Thermostat
  • Engine coolant temperature sensor
  • Leakage from sealing portion of thermostat

DTC Confirmation Procedure
noteNever refuel before and during the following procedure.
1.CHECK DTC PRIORITY
If DTC P01F0 is displayed with DTC P0116, P0117, P0118, or P0128, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0116, P0117, P0118, or P0128.
Is other DTC detected?
Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC Index..

2.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
  2. Turn ignition switch ON.
  3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

3.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Start engine and warm it up to the normal operating temperature.
  2. Maintain the hold vehicle speed at more than 60 km/h (37 MPH) for at least 40 consecutive seconds.
    cautionAlways drive vehicle in safe manner according to traffic conditions and obey all traffic laws.
    noteKeeping the accelerator pedal as steady as possible at approximately more than 1/8.
