Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK MAP SENSOR FITTING CONDITION
Check MAP sensor fitting condition.
Is the inspection result normal?
Adjust parts fitting condition.
 
2.CHECK FOR CHARGE AIR LEAK
  1. Start the engine and let it idle.
  2. Listen for an charge air leak.
Is intake air leak detected?
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
 
3.CHECK MAP SENSOR HARNESS CONNECTOR CONNECTIONS
Check MAP sensor harness connector connection.
Is the inspection result normal?
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
 
4.CHECK MAP SENSOR
Check MAP sensor. Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
Replace error-detected parts.
 
5.CHECK MAP SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Check the power supply of the MAP sensor.

Is the inspection result normal?

Perform trouble diagnosis for power supply circuit.
 
6.CHECK MAP SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR OPEN AND SHORT
Check MAP sensor circuit for open and short.
