DTC P1799: Malfunction of Brake Fluid Pressure Signal
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
The TCM determines that the system is defective when it receives a brake fluid pressure abnormality signal from the ASC-ECU.
 
 
JUDGMENT CRITERIA
After the system has detected that the power supply voltage is 9 V or more, the engine speed is 450 r/min or more and the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3 mph) or more, the system receives a malfunction signal from the brake fluid pressure sensor for five seconds.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of ASC-ECU
  • Malfunction of TCM
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnostic trouble code
Check if the ASC-related diagnostic trouble code is set.
Is the ASC-related diagnostic trouble code set?
Carry out the appropriate troubleshooting.
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Symptom recheck after erasing diagnostic trouble code
Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h (3 mph) or more, and check again.
Is the diagnostic trouble code set?
Replace the TCM.
