DTC P1797: G Sensor/Brake Pressure Sensor Malfunction
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
TCM determines if the CAN signals it receives from the ASC-ECU are normal.
 
 
JUDGMENT CRITERIA
If the following conditions are met after it is detected that the power supply voltage is 9 V or more, the engine speed is 450 r/min or more, and after the ignition switch was ON, the vehicle speed was 5 km/h (3.1 mph) or more.
  • The brake fluid pressure sensor error signal reception continues for 5 seconds.
  • The front/rear G sensor error signal reception continues for 5 seconds.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of ASC-ECU
  • Malfunction of TCM
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Scan tool diagnostic trouble code
Check if the ASC-related diagnostic trouble code is set.
Is the ASC-related diagnostic trouble code set?
Carry out the appropriate troubleshooting.
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Symptom recheck after erasing diagnostic trouble code
Is the check result normal?
Intermittent malfunction.
Replace the TCM.
