HEATER WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

caution

Do not operate the heater water pump with no water heater fluid in the heater water pump assembly. If the heater water pump assembly spins, a failure may occur.

Connect the battery terminal (+) side to the heater water pump assembly connector terminal No. 2, 3 and check that the motor operates when connecting the battery terminal (-) side to the terminal No. 1.

HEATER WATER VALVE INSPECTION

1. Fill the container with water to submerge the heater water valve. Gradually warm up the water while stirring, and check that the valve opening temperature of the heater water valve is within the standard value.

Standard value: Valve opening temperature: 50 ± 2°C (122 ± 3°F)

2. When the water temperature is raised to the fully open temperature, check that the valve lift amount is within the standard value.

Standard value: Opening temperature 63°C (145°F)
Valve lift amount when it is fully opened: 5 mm or more

note	To check the valve lift amount of the heater water valve (four-way valve), disassemble the valve. Then immerse the plastic case side (with thermostat) in warm water.
