Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the ground circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
OPERATION
The BSW-ECU (master) communicates with the steering wheel sensor via the gateway-ECU and the CAN bus lines.
CHECK CONDITION
Electric motor switch is in the ON position.
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION AND TROUBLE JUDGMENT
When the BSW-ECU (master) receives the signal, which indicates that the neutral position of the steering wheel sensor has not been learnt yet, the ECU will set DTC C2334.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
Neutral position of steering wheel sensor not learned
Malfunction of the steering wheel sensor (incorporated in column switch assembly)
Malfunction of BSW-ECU (master)
DIAGNOSIS
1. Steering wheel sensor calibration [Perform calibration of steering wheel sensor (Refer to GROUP 35C - Steering Wheel Sensor Calibration )].
2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the BSW-ECU (master) DTC again.
