STEP 1. Perform voltage measurement at door mirror assembly (RH) (incorporating blind spot warning light) connector.
(1) Disconnect the door mirror assembly (RH) connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Turn the electric motor switch from "OFF" position to "ON" position.
(3) Check the voltage between the door mirror assembly (RH) connector terminal of AN1 line and ground.(1) When the actuator test (Item No. 1) is executed.OK: 6 volts or more
(2) When the actuator test (Item No. 1) is aborted.OK: 1 volt or less
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3. Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Check of open circuit in AN1 line between BSW-ECU (slave) connector and door mirror assembly (RH) (incorporating blind spot warning light) connector.
Is the check result normal?
Replace the BSW-ECU (slave). Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 3. Check of open circuit in ground line between the door mirror assembly (RH) (incorporating blind spot warning light) connector and ground.
STEP 4. Check the door mirror assembly (RH) (incorporating blind spot warning light).
STEP 5. Check the blind spot warning light (RH) on mirror.
STEP 6. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the BSW-ECU (slave) DTC again.
Check again if the DTC is set in the BSW-ECU (slave).(1) caution | To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the electric motor switch to the "OFF" position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). |
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-IIISE)
."
(2) Erase the DTC.
(3) Turn the electric motor switch from the OFF position to the ON position.
(4) Check if the DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the BSW-ECU (slave). The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
