DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), diagnose CAN bus line.
Use the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).

STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC is set.
Check whether the DTC P0562, P0563 or P0A09 is set in the PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54Da - PHEV-ECU - Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart ).
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot for the relevant DTC.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check of the 12V starter battery.
Execute the 12V starter battery test (Refer to GROUP 54A - 12V starter battery - On-vehicles service ).
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Replace the 12V starter battery (Refer to GROUP 54A - 12V starter battery Removal and Installation ).

STEP 4. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC is set.
Check whether the DTC U1191 is set or not from the other system.
  • Refer to GROUP 54Db - Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart . <FEMCU, REMCU, Generator Control Unit>
  • Refer to GROUP 54Dd - Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart . <On board charger/DC DC converter>
  • Refer to GROUP 55 - Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart . <A/C compressor assembly>
  • Refer to GROUP 55 - Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart . <Electric heater (Electric heater-ECU)>
Is the DTC set?
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to ).
Go to Step 5.

STEP 5. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Recheck the DTC.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(3) Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(4) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the battery management unit (BMU) (Refer to ).
Intermittent malfunction in CAN bus line between battery management unit (BMU) and PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
