DTC C1078: Tire revolutions range
 
 
cautionWhenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
 
 
DTC SET CONDITIONS
The PHEV-ECU sets DTC C1078 when the difference between the front and rear road wheel speeds exceeds a certain amount.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Tires of different diameters fitted.
  • Spare tire installed.
  • Insufficient tire inflation pressure.
  • Malfunction of the ASC-ECU.
  • Malfunction of the PHEV-ECU.
 
 

 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Check the tires.
Check that all of the fitted tires satisfy the specified size and inflation pressure (check the tire inflation pressure label). Check that all of the fitted tires are same brand.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Replace the tire of different size and brand, and adjust the tire inflation pressure. Then go to Step 3.
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC is set.
Check whether the ASC-ECU related DTC is set or not (Refer to GROUP 35C - Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart ).
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot for the relevant DTC.
Go to Step 3.
 
STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Recheck the DTC.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(3) Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(4) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to ).
The procedure is complete.
