DTC P0513: Incorrect Immobilizer key
 
 
cautionBefore replacing the ECU, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.
 
 
DTC SET CONDITIONS
The PHEV-ECU sets DTC P0513 when it cannot authenticate the immobilizer.
note
  • This DTC may be also set due to radio interference when some authorized keyless operation keys are placed during an attempted engine start.
  • This DTC may be also set when you attempt to register an transponder ID.
  • This DTC will be also set when a keyless operation key cannot be authenticated.
  • This DTC is also set in the OSS-ECU.
 
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of the OSS-ECU.
  • Malfunction of the PHEV-ECU.
  • The keyless operation key cannot be authenticated or is defective.
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
 
 
1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC (OSS-ECU) is set. (Refer to GROUP 42B - Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart <OSS-ECU> ).
2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again. If the DTC is set again, replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to ).
