DTC U1190: No receive fault detect signal

caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect DTC may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
  • Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.

DTC SET CONDITIONS
The PHEV-ECU sets DTC U1190 when it cannot receive any fault detection signal from the ETACS-ECU within a certain period after the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is turned on.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of CAN bus line.
  • Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU.
  • Malfunction of the PHEV-ECU.

DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), diagnose CAN bus line.
Use the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ). On completion, go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Recheck the DTC.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(3) Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(4) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Go to Step 3.
The procedure is complete.

STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC is set.
Check whether the ETACS-ECU related DTC is set or not (Refer to GROUP 54A - ETACS, DTC Chart ).
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot for the relevant DTC.
Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC is set.
Check whether DTC U1190 is set in other ECUs or DTC C1785 is set in ACC system ECU.
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot for the relevant DTC.
Go to Step 5.

STEP 5.
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to ).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
