(3) Resistance between C-146 intermediate connector terminal No.17 (CAN_H) and body groundOK: 1 kΩ or more

Is the check result normal?
<1 kΩ or more> Go to Step 14. <Less than 1 kΩ > Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Check the EV-CAN between joint connector (CAN6) and the BMU. Resistance measurement at joint connector (CAN6).
STEP 3. Check the EV-CAN between joint connector (CAN9) and the electric heater. Resistance measurement at joint connector (CAN9).

STEP 4. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics [electric heater connector disconnected].
STEP 5. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics (retest the system).
STEP 6. Check the EV-CAN between joint connector (CAN6) and the REMCU. Resistance measurement at joint connector (CAN6).

STEP 7. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics [REMCU connector disconnected].
STEP 8. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics (retest the system).
STEP 9. Check the EV-CAN between joint connector (CAN6) and the on board charger/DC-DC converter. Resistance measurement at joint connector (CAN6).

<1 kΩ or more> Repair the wiring harness between joint connector (CAN6) and joint connector (CAN9) or joint connector (CAN9) and C-146 intermediate connector. <Less than 1 kΩ > Go to Step 10.
STEP 10. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics [on board charger/DC-DC converter connector disconnected].
STEP 11. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics (retest the system).
STEP 12. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics [BMU connector disconnected].
(1) Disconnect BMU connector, and diagnose by using the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
(2) Diagnose CAN bus lines, and check if scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) screen is as shown in the illustration.
Does scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) screen correspond to the illustration?
Repair the wiring harness between joint connector (CAN6) and the BMU connector. Check the BMU connector, and repair if necessary. If the BMU connector is in good condition, go to Step 13.
STEP 13. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics (retest the system).
STEP 14. Check the EV-CAN between joint connector (CAN1) and the electrical parking driver unit. Resistance measurement at joint connector (CAN1).

STEP 17. Check the CAN line between joint connector (CAN2) and the PHEV-ECU. Resistance measurement at joint connector (CAN2).

STEP 20. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics (retest the system).
STEP 21. Check the EV-CAN between joint connector (CAN2) and the A/C compressor. Resistance measurement at joint connector (CAN2).

STEP 22. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics [A/C compressor connector disconnected].
STEP 23. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics (retest the system).
STEP 24. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics [PHEV-ECU connector disconnected].
(1) Disconnect PHEV-ECU connector, and diagnose by using the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
(2) Diagnose CAN bus lines, and check if scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) screen is as shown in the illustration.
Does scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) screen correspond to the illustration?
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ). Check the PHEV-ECU connector, and repair if necessary. If the PHEV-ECU connector is in good condition, go to Step 25.
STEP 25. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics (retest the system).
