Inspection Procedure 10: The column switch signal is not received.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)
The ETACS-ECU receives the column switch signal via the LIN communication. If there is an abnormality to column switch or LIN bus line, the lights and wiper/washer do not work normally.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
The column switch assembly (integrated with steering wheel sensor) may be defective
The LIN bus line may be defective
DIAGNOSIS
Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the ETACS DTC.
