If DTC No. U0141 is set, be sure to diagnose the CAN bus line.
Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the input and output signal circuits are normal.
DTC SET CONDITION
If signal from the ETACS-ECU cannot be received for 2,500 milliseconds or more, the camera-ECU sets DTC No. U0141.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
The ETACS-ECU may be defective
The camera-ECU may be defective
The CAN bus may be defective
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), diagnose the CAN bus line.
Use the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ) and then go to Step 4.
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the combination meter DTC.
Check if DTC No. U0141 is set in the combination meter.
Is the DTC set?
Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 4.
STEP 3. Recheck for DTC.
Check again if the DTC is set in the camera-ECU.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Press the electric motor switch to turn the power supply mode from "OFF" to "ON."
(3) Check if DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the ETACS-ECU.
A poor connection, open circuit, or other intermittent malfunction in the CAN bus line between the camera-ECU and the ETACS-ECU. (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction .)
STEP 4. Recheck for DTC.
Check again if the DTC is set in the camera-ECU.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Press the electric motor switch to turn the power supply mode from "OFF" to "ON."
(3) Check if DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the camera-ECU. (Refer to )
