ANTENNA COMMUNICATION TEST
 
 
Through the operations on the scan tool (M.U.T.-III) screen, the antenna communication tests can be performed.
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
  • MB991958: Scan Tool (M.U.T.-III Sub Assembly)
    • MB991824: Vehicles Communication Interface (V.C.I.)
    • MB991827: M.U.T.-III USB Cable
    • MB991910: M.U.T.-III Main Harness A (Vehicles with CAN communication system)
cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to the OFF before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
Connect the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to the 16-pin data link connector as follows.
noteFor details on how to use the scan tool, refer to the "M.U.T.-IIISE User's Manual."
1. Start up the personal computer.
2. Connect special tool V.C.I.-Lite USB cable (MB992747/MB992748) to V.C.I.-Lite (MB992744) and the personal computer.
3. Connect V.C.I.-Lite main harness A (MB992745) to the V.C.I.-Lite.
4. Connect the V.C.I.-Lite main harness A to the data link connector of the vehicle.
noteWhen the V.C.I.-Lite is connected to the data link connector, the V.C.I.-Lite indicator light will be illuminated in a green color.
5. Start the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) system on the personal computer.
6. Select "F.A.S.T./IMMO/Keyless" button from the "System Select" screen. Then, select the applicable option code item and push the OK button.
  • The display of "Special Function" screen changes, depending on the contents of the option. For vehicles with KOS, select "IMMOBI & F.A.S.T."
7. Select "Special Function" on the next screen.
8. Select the button of the operation to be performed from the "Special Function" screen.
9. Select the antenna to be tested on "Comm. Test" screen, and press the OK button with the keyless operation key placed within the communication operational area.
10. Push the OK button after "Communication is normal." is displayed.
