HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TEST

note	Prior to this test, check that the fuel level warning does not flash and the Main Drive Lithium-ion Battery is charged enough. If the fuel level warning flashes, refill the fuel tank. If the Main Drive Lithium-ion Battery is partially discharged, recharge the battery.

1. Install the following special tools at the hydraulic pressure outlet ports shown in the figure.

Observe the following safety precautions during this test.

Service technicians must not stand in front of and at the rear of the vehicle.
Do not carry out this test while the battery is being charged.
Close the hood securely.
Do not touch the components other than the hydraulic pressure port.

Lift the vehicle. Then turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to illuminate the ready indicator.

3. Measure the hydraulic pressure at each measuring point in the conditions specified in the standard hydraulic pressure table, and check that the measurements are within the standard value.

note	If the hydraulic pressure is high with the vehicle stationary, the measured value may be incorrect. Repeat the measurement.

4. If not within the standard value, replace the valve body assembly.

note

If the drive mode is switched into the parallel hybrid mode, angled arrow symbol (A) will be displayed between "engine" and "tire" symbols on the multi-information display.
If oil pressure pulsation occurs, obtain middle value.
The hydraulic pressure should be tested when the drive mode is at a parallel hybrid run check mode.

PARALLEL HYBRID RUN CHECK MODE

To activate/deactivate the parallel hybrid run check mode, follow one of the procedures below:

Activate item No.1 "Parallel hybrid run check mode" on the special function menu for the PHEV-ECU.

Deactivate item No.1 "Parallel hybrid run check mode" on the special function menu for the PHEV-ECU.
Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
After the drive mode is switched to the parallel hybrid mode once, stop the vehicle (vehicle speed: 0 km/h).

1. Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON.

2. Pull the parking brake lever.

3. Press the AWD lock switch at least 10 times within seven seconds.

4. Release the parking brake lever.

Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
After the drive mode is switched to the parallel hybrid mode once, stop the vehicle (vehicle speed: 0 km/h).
