DTC P1566: PHEV-ECU-ACC-ECU Control State Mismatch <ACC>

cautionIf DTC P1566 is set in the PHEV-ECU, surely perform CAN bus line diagnosis.
cautionReplace ECU after certainly confirming that the communication circuits are normal.

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE SET CONDITIONS
This DTC is set when the abnormality below is detected:
  • ACC-related information does not meet a predetermined value.
  • The power supply mode of the electric motor switch remains on for at least two seconds.
noteThis DTC will be set when the ACC ON/OFF switch is turned on while the ASC is activated forcibly.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Failed ACC-ECU
  • Failed ASC-ECU
  • Failed PHEV-ECU

DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), diagnose CAN bus line.
(1)
cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) ."
(2) Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(3) Diagnose the CAN bus line. [Refer to GROUP 54C - Explanation About The Scan Tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN Bus Diagnostics ]
(4) Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Diagnosis, CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).

STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the DTC.
Confirm whether the DTC is set in the ACC-ECU.
Is the DTC set?
Perform troubleshooting of the adaptive cruise control system (ACC) (Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart ).
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the PHEV system DTC.
Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), perform PHEV system DTC (Refer to GROUP 54Da - Diagnosis Function ).
Is any DTC set?
Perform troubleshooting of the PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54Da - Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart ).
Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the DTC.
(1) Use the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), erase the DTC of the cruise control system.
(2) Turn ON the power supply mode of the electric motor switch, and press the cruise control ON/OFF switch to turn the cruise control system to ON (the cruise control display screen is turned on).
(3) After turning the cruise control system to ON, when 2 minutes or more has elapsed without operating the cruise control switches, read the DTC of the cruise control system (Refer to ).
Is DTC P1566 set?
Replace the ASC-ECU (Refer to GROUP 35C - Hydraulic Unit ). Then go to Step 5.
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).

STEP 5.
Replace the ACC-ECU (Refer to ). Then go to Step 6.
This diagnosis is complete.

STEP 6.
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54Da - PHEV-ECU ).
This diagnosis is complete.
