REMOVAL SERVICE POINT

<<A>> LINEAR AIR-FUEL RATIO SENSOR/HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR REMOVAL
1. Remove the sensor connector connection and clamp.
2. Use special tool MB991953 to remove the sensor.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

>>A<< EXHAUST MANIFOLD/EXHAUST MANIFOLD WASHER/EXHAUST MANIFOLD NUT INSTALLATION
1. Install the exhaust manifold and the exhaust manifold washer.
2. Temporarily tighten the exhaust manifold nut.
3. Tighten the exhaust manifold nut with the specified torque in the order of number shown in the figure.
Tightening torque: 49 ± 5 N·m (36 ± 3 ft-lb)

>>B<< EXHAUST MANIFOLD BRACKET INSTALLATION
1. After temporarily tightening the exhaust manifold bracket with the installation bolts, check the exhaust manifold fastens securely to the cylinder block.
2. Tighten the cylinder block side bolt to the specified tightening torque.
Tightening torque: 41 ± 10 N·m (30 ± 7 ft-lb)
3. Tighten the exhaust manifold side bolt to the specified tightening torque.
Tightening torque: 56 ± 8 N·m (41 ± 5 ft-lb)

>>C<< HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR/LINEAR AIR-FUEL RATIO SENSOR INSTALLATION
1. Secure the sensor wiring harness with a band as shown.
2. In the same manner as removal, use special tool MB991953 to tighten the sensor to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 44 ± 5 N·m (32 ± 3 ft-lb)

>>D<< HARNESS BRACKET INSTALLATION
1. Install the wiring harness bracket so that it is parallel to the counterhold on the bracket. (There is no free play between them.)
2. Tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 12 ± 3 N·m (106 ± 26 in-lb)
