INSPECTION PROCEDURE 6: When the ECO Mode Switch is Turned On, the Drive Mode is not Switched into AWC ECO Mode.
 
 
 
 
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
The ECO mode switch, the ETACS-ECU, the CAN bus lines, or the AWC-ECU is suspected.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of the ECO mode switch
  • Malfunction of the CAN bus line
  • Malfunction of ETACS-ECU
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunction of AWC-ECU

 
 
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) data list
Check the following data list (Refer to GROUP 54A - ETACS, Data List Reference Table ).
  • Item No.408: Filler lid Open SW/ECO mode SW
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Follow the ETACS-ECU trouble symptom procedure "The hazard indicator assembly (ECO mode switch) signal is not received."
Refer to GROUP 54A - ETACS, Trouble Symptom Chart for Input Signal .
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Repair it. Then go to Step 3.
 
STEP 3. Retest the system.
Does the malfunction occur again?
Go to Step 4.
This diagnosis is complete.
 
STEP 4. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) DTC.
Check whether an ETACS-related DTC is stored in the AWC-ECU (Refer to ).
Is the DTC stored?
Perform the relevant troubleshooting. Then go to Step 5.
Go to Step 5.
 
STEP 5. Retest the system.
Does the malfunction occur again?
Diagnose again from Step 1.
This diagnosis is complete.
