STEP 32. Check the CAN-C (Main) between joint connector (CAN1) and the electric parking brake ECU. Resistance measurement at joint connector (CAN1).
STEP 33. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics [electric parking brake ECU connector disconnected]
(1) Disconnect electric parking brake ECU connector and read all diagnosis with the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
(2) Confirm that all diagnosis reading results are as shown in the table.
Are all diagnosis reading results as shown in the table?
Repair the wiring harness between joint connector (CAN1) and the electric parking brake ECU connector. Check the electric parking brake ECU connector, and repair if necessary. If the electric parking brake ECU connector is in good condition, go to Step 34.
STEP 34. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics (retest the system)
STEP 35. Check the CAN-C (Main) between joint connector (CAN1) and the gateway-ECU. Resistance measurement at joint connector (CAN1).

STEP 36. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics [ETACS-ECU connector disconnected]
(1) Disconnect ETACS-ECU connector and read all diagnosis with the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
(2) Confirm that all diagnosis reading results are as shown in the table.
Are all diagnosis reading results as shown in the table?
Go to Step 38. Check the ETACS-ECU connector, and repair if necessary. If the ETACS-ECU connector is in good condition, go to Step 37.
STEP 37. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics (retest the system)
STEP 38. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics [ECM connector disconnected]
(1) Disconnect ECM connector and read all diagnosis with the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
(2) Confirm that all diagnosis reading results are as shown in the table.
Are all diagnosis reading results as shown in the table?
Check the gateway-ECU connector, and repair if necessary. If the gateway-ECU connector is in good condition, go to Step 40. Check the ECM connector, and repair if necessary. If the ECM connector is in good condition, go to Step 39.
