DTC B2206 VIM error/Mismatch
 
 
caution
  • If DTC B2206 is set, always diagnose the CAN bus line.
  • Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the ground circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
If the chassis number which is stored in the ETACS-ECU does not correspond to that which is stored in the engine control module, DTC B2206 will be set.
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
If the chassis number which is stored in the ETACS-ECU does not correspond to that which is stored in the engine control module (ECM), DTC B2206 will be set.
If the chassis number which is stored in the ETACS-ECU does not correspond to that which is stored in the engine control module, the ETACS-ECU will determine that the system is defective.
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Chassis number not written
  • The ETACS-ECU may be defective
  • The ECM may be defective
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
1. Check scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnostics
2. Check the chassis numbers which have been stored in the engine control module
3. Check whether the DTC is set again.
