DTC B2352 Antenna fail

cautionBefore replacing the ECU, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.

DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION
If an open circuit or short to ground occurs in the antenna of the engine switch, KOS&OSS-ECU sets DTC B2352.

JUDGMENT CRITERIA
When the engine switch and the KOS&OSS-ECU are communicating, the KOS&OSS-ECU will send a signal to the engine switch. Then the engine switch will send a code to the keyless operation key via its antenna. If the KOS&OSS-ECU detects open circuit or short circuit to ground consecutively four times during the operation above, the ECU will set this DTC.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of the engine switch
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunction of KOS&OSS-ECU

DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Engine switch check.
Check that the engine switch is normal (Refer to ).
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Replace the engine switch (Refer to ).

STEP 2. Check of short to power supply, short to ground, and open circuit in ANTP, ANTG lines between the engine switch connector and the KOS&OSS-ECU connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the DTC is set again.
(1) Open and close the driver's door several times.
(2) Check if the DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace KOS&OSS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to ).
The diagnosis is complete.
