DTC C1519 Torque sensor calibration abnormality

OPERATION
By executing the calibration of the torque sensor, the EPS-ECU learns the neutral position of the torque sensor.

FUNCTION
When the EPS-ECU determines that the torque sensor neutral position (zero point correction value) is abnormal.

TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Conditions
  • Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position (Engine running).
Judgment Criterion
  • When an abnormal learning is performed at the torque sensor neutral position (zero point correction value).
Fail Safe, Back Up Function
  • The EPS-ECU stops the motor control and illuminates the electric power steering warning light, then sets the DTC C1519.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
The conditions for torque sensor calibration are not met.
noteIt is probable that the conditions on the vehicle side were not satisfied during the torque sensor calibration. (Torque applied to the steering wheel, etc.)

DIAGNOSIS
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
3. Perform torque sensor calibration (Refer to ).
