DTC U1195 Coding not completed
 
 
cautionWhenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
 
 
OPERATION
Vehicle information is written in EPS-ECU by coding.
 
 
 
FUNCTION
The EPS-ECU judges the vehicle condition by the written coding data.
 
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Conditions
  • Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position (Engine running).
Judgment Criterion
  • The EPS-ECU coding is not completed.
Fail Safe, Back Up Function
  • The EPS-ECU sets DTC U1195.
 
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Coding not completed.
  • Malfunction of the EPS-ECU
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC is set.
Use M.U.T.-IIISE to check if the same that DTC U1199 or U119A is set in the other ECU (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN-Related Diagnosis Code Table ).
Is any DTC set?
Troubleshoot for the relevant Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart (Refer to ).
Write the correct coding data to the EPS-ECU, and then go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
(1) Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position (Engine running).
Is the DTC set?
Replace the EPS motor (EPS-ECU). (Refer to ).
This diagnosis is complete.
