Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
OPERATION
Motor current is supplied from the EPS-ECU.
FUNCTION
The motor control circuit has two systems, and the EPS-ECU monitors the current value of the motor.
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Conditions
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position (Engine running).
Judgment Criterion
When the EPS-ECU determines that the motor current drive circuit is faulty.
Fail Safe, Back Up Function
The EPS-ECU is in motor control output limit state, turns on the electric steering warning light, and sets DTC C1531 and C1532.

DIAGNOSIS

Erase the DTC.
(2)
Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
(3)
Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position (Engine running).

Check if the DTC is set.
