DTC C2327 Radar module dirt

cautionBefore replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the ground circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
noteThe radar may not function normally if foreign object or dirt (snow or ice) is adhered on the radar or its surrounding area, or the road condition is bad due to a severe weather (heavy rain or snow). In that case, the system will deactivate the blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert as system protection and display an alert icon on the combination meter.

OPERATION
The BSW-ECU (master) incorporates a radar. The BSW-ECU (master) monitors whether the radar or its surrounding area is contaminated or its beam is blocked by foreign material.

CHECK CONDITION
When all of the conditions below are satisfied:
  • Ignition switch is in the "ON" position.
  • BSW-ECU (master) system voltage is at 9 - 16 volts.
  • The blind spot warning light switch is ON.
  • The vehicle is driven at 10 km/h (6.2 mph) or more.

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION AND TROUBLE JUDGMENT
The BSW-ECU (master) sets DTC C2327 when the system cannot detect a radar precisely for at least 10 minutes or the vehicle is driven for 10 km (6.2 mph) or more with the radar detected poorly.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Bad weather (heavy rain, snow, icing, etc.)
  • Road condition or ambient environment
  • The radar or rear bumper is contaminated by dirt or foreign material, etc.
  • Improperly installed BSW-ECU (master)
  • Malfunction of BSW-ECU (master)

DIAGNOSIS
1. Check the radar or the rear bumper for dirt or foreign material.
2. Check the rear bumper for scratches or dents.
3. Check whether the DTC is set again, after driving the vehicle for at least 10 minutes.
