DTC B1E20 +Battery Roomlight deactivated (FET failure)
 
 
cautionBefore replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the ground circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
DTC B1E20 will be set when the ETACS-ECU detects an internal fault at HI side of the dome light.
 
 
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)
DTC B1E20 will be set when the ETACS-ECU detects a internal fault at HI side of the dome light.
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • The wiring harness or connectors may have loose, corroded, or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector
  • The ETACS-ECU may be defective
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the other DTC again.
Check again if DTC B1E1D is set in the ETACS-ECU.

cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect Scan Tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) ."
(2) Erase the DTC.
(3) Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(4) Check if DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Carry out the troubleshooting for DTC B1E1D. On completion, replace the ETACS-ECU when it has not been replaced as the troubleshooting process for DTC B1E1D. This is because DTC B1E20 cannot be erased.
Replace the ETACS-ECU.
