If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect DTC may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ).
Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
When the steering column switch assembly (Integrated with steering wheel sensor) is replaced, always carry out calibration to make ASC-ECU learn the neutral point (Refer to ).
OPERATION
The steering wheel sensor outputs the steering wheel status to ASC-ECU via the CAN bus lines.
DTC SET CONDITIONS
When the system detects a malfunction in the CAN-bus line.
PROBABLE CAUSES
The CAN bus line is defective.
Damaged wiring harness and connectors
Malfunction of the steering column switch assembly (Integrated with steering wheel sensor)
DIAGNOSIS
1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnosis.
2. DTC U1073 recheck after resetting CAN bus lines.
3. Check again if the DTC is set in the steering wheel sensor.
