DTC P1607: Malfunction of the System Power Supply (low voltage)
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
The TCM determines that the system is defective if too low battery voltage is supplied to the ECU (open circuit in the power supply circuit).
 
 
DESCRIPTIONS OF MONITOR METHODS
The battery voltage remains less than 8.0 V for 0.2 seconds.
 
 
MONITOR EXECUTION
  • Voltage of battery: 10 volts or more.
 
 
MONITOR EXECUTION CONDITIONS (OTHER MONITOR AND SENSOR)
Other Monitor (There is no temporary DTC stored in memory for the item monitored below)

DTC SET CONDITIONS
Check Conditions
  • Voltage of battery: More than 10.996 volts.
Judgment Criteria
  • Solenoid power supply voltage: Less than 8.027 volts. (0.2 seconds).
 
 
OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN
Ignition switch: ON (start the engine and keep it for 10 seconds or more).
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) diagnostic trouble code.
Check whether a diagnostic trouble code other than P1607 is set.
Is diagnostic trouble code set?
Carry out the appropriate troubleshooting.
Repair the connector(s) or the wiring harness (BATT, BAT2 line between the TCM connector and the battery).
