During diagnosis, a diagnostic trouble code associated with other system may be set when the ignition switch is turned on with connector(s) disconnected. On completion, confirm all systems for diagnostic trouble code(s). If diagnostic trouble code(s) are set, erase them all.

Communication between scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) and AWC-ECU cannot be established.

Shifting the S-AWC drive mode-selector does not change the mode

The tight corner braking phenomenon^* appears with the S-AWC drive mode-selector in the AUTO position.

note	The vehicle is tuned so that the tight corner braking phenomenon appears at a certain level with the drive mode in the SNOW or GRAVEL position.

AWD system check screen is displayed on the center of the multi-information display and a "AWD" symbol flashes at the left top. But no diagnostic trouble codes are set.

Malfunction of power supply circuit system

^*Tight corner braking phenomenon: When a AWD vehicle makes sharp cornering in a paved road at low speed (ex. parallel parking), there is a difference in turning radius between front and rear wheels. If such a difference can no longer be compensated by tire slippage, the vehicle behaves as if it is under braking.
