Are KOS-ECU connector C-31 and outside transmitter antenna assembly (driver’s
side) connector D-19 in good condition?

Repair or replace the damaged component(s). Refer to GROUP 00E, Harness Connector
Inspection . Check that the outside transmitter antenna assembly
(driver’s side) works normally.

|
- Check the communication, power supply, and earth wires for open circuit.
|
|

Are the wiring harness between KOS-ECU connector C-31 (terminal Nos. 6, 17, 40) and
outside transmitter antenna assembly (driver’s side) connector D-19 (terminal Nos.
3, 2, 1) in good condition?

The wiring harness may be damaged or the connector(s) may have loose, corroded
or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector. Repair the wiring harness as
necessary. Check that the outside transmitter antenna assembly (driver’s side) works
normally.

|
Check that the communication with the outside transmitter antenna assembly (driver’s
side) is normal (Refer to Antenna Test ).

Is the check result normal?

|
Replace the outside transmitter antenna assembly (driver’s side).
|
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
|
|
(3)Check if the DTC is set.
|
|
Replace KOS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to ).
|
|
|
|
Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use
Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Deal with Intermittent
Malfunction ).
