STEP 1. Check the refrigerant level.
STEP 2. Check the fin thermo sensor.
STEP 3. Check open circuit in AC/T and ACTE line between fin thermo sensor, temperature controller connector and engine control module connector.
STEP 4. Perform the simple inspection of the A/C pressure sensor.
STEP 5. Check open circuit in AC/P, ACPE and ACPS line between A/C pressure sensor connector and engine control module connector.
STEP 6. Voltage measurement at A/C compressor and clutch assembly and connector.
(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(3) Disconnect engine control module connector and body ground.
(4) Voltage between terminal 1 and body ground.OK: System voltage
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 9. Go to Step 7.
STEP 7. Check the A/C compressor.
STEP 8. Trouble symptom recheck
Is the check result normal?
This diagnosis is complete. Replace the engine control module.
STEP 9. Check the A/C compressor relay.
STEP 10. Voltage measurement at A/C compressor relay connector.
(1) Remove the relay and measure at the relay box side.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(3) Voltage between terminal 1, 4 and body ground.OK: System voltage
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 12. Go to Step 11.
STEP 11. Check open circuit in A/C compressor relay line between ignition switch <Vehicles without one touch start system> or IG2 relay <Vehicles with one touch start system>, fusible link (6), and A/C compressor relay connector.
STEP 12. Check open circuit in AC/R line between A/C compressor relay, A/C compressor and clutch assembly and engine control module connector.
