STEP 1. Check the blower relay.
STEP 2. Voltage measurement at blower relay connector.
(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(3) Voltage between terminal 2, 4 and body ground.OK: System voltage
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3. Go to Step 4.
STEP 3. Check open circuit in blower relay line between ignition switch <Vehicles without one touch start system> or IG2 relay <Vehicles with one touch start system>, fusible link (6), blower relay connector and body ground.
STEP 4. Check the blower motor.
STEP 5. Voltage measurement at blower motor connector.
(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(3) Voltage between terminal 1 and body ground.OK: System voltage
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 7. Go to Step 6.
STEP 6. Check open circuit in blower motor line between blower relay and blower motor connector.
STEP 7. Check the heater resister.
STEP 8. Check open circuit in heater resister line between blower motor connector and heater resister connector.
STEP 9. Resistance measurement at the blower switch connector.
(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Continuity between terminal 4 and body groundOK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)
Is the check result normal?
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ). Go to Step 10.
STEP 10. Check the blower switch.
STEP 11. Check open circuit in blower switch line between blower motor connector, heater resister connector blower switch connector, and body ground.
