caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnostic trouble code may be stored. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
  • Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
  • When the hydraulic unit (integrated with ASC-ECU) is replaced, always carry out the calibration of the steering wheel sensor and the G and yaw rate sensor (Refer to and ).
OPERATION
  • The ASC-ECU contains the power supply circuit (+BV terminal) for the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is energized by the valve relay, which is incorporated in the ASC-ECU.
  • The valve relay, which is incorporated in the ASC-ECU, is always ON except for during the initial check at electric motor switch is turned ON as well as for during the system check that is periodically repeated. While the system is active, the power is supplied to the solenoid valve at all times.
  • ASC-ECU activates the solenoid valve by turning on its driving transistor.

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE SET CONDITIONS
These diagnostic trouble codes will be stored under the cases below.
Code No. C1226, C1231, C1236, C1241, C1246, C1251, C1256 and C1261
  • These codes are stored when the ASC-ECU drive signal does not match the feed back signal from the solenoid valve.
Code No. C1300, C1305, C1310 and C1315
  • These codes are stored when an abnormality is detected in ASC-ECU.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of ASC-ECU
