TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH AND CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT
1. Move the selector lever to the N range.
2. Loosen the adjusting nut so that the manual control lever moves freely.
3. Move the manual control lever to Neutral position.
4. Loosen the transmission range switch body mounting bolt, and turn the transmission range switch body so that the hole in the transmission range switch body flange aligns with the hole on the end of the manual control lever (section A - A on in the figure shown left).
noteInsert a Φ5 bar into the aligned holes in the transmission range switch body flange and on the tip of the manual control lever to position the transmission range switch body.
5.
cautionBe careful that the transmission range switch body does not move out of the position.
Tighten the transmission range switch body mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 5.9 ± 1.0 N·m (52 ± 8 in-lb)

6.
caution
  • Confirm that the width across flats of the cable end, matches a long hole of manual control lever.
  • Before assembling between a manual control lever and an cable end of transaxle control cable, release taking a hold on an cable end once, and it's surely confirmed that it doesn't take tension on.
Use the adjusting nut to tighten the transaxle control cable to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 9.5 ± 3.5 N·m (84 ± 30 in-lb)
7. Make sure that the selector lever is in the N range.
8. Make sure that the transaxle-side ranges that are corresponding to the selector lever position operate and function without fail.
