Diagnosis conditionWhen electric motor switch is ON
Signal (terminal)—
ThresholdThe sonar sensor is covered with ice or mud
Diagnosis delay time4 seconds or more
 
 
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • The sonar sensor is covered with ice or mud
  • Seals or things other than the genuine parts exist around the sonar sensor or on the bumper.
  • Front sonar sensor LH inner
 
 
FAIL-SAFE
Stop the obstacle detection function
 
 
CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Turn electric motor switch ON.
  2. Turn electric motor switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.
  3. Turn electric motor switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.
  4. Select “Diagnostic Trouble Code” mode of “SONAR” using M.U.T.-III SE.
  5. Check the DTC.
Is DTC “B272A–97” detected?
