Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK CONNECTOR
  1. Electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Check the ethernet harness connectors and terminals of combination meter and 8CH CAN gateway for damage or looseness.
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace the malfunction part, securely lock the harness connector.
 
2.PERFORM ALL DTC READING
  1. Electric motor switch ON.
  2. Perform “Read All DTCs” with M.U.T.-III SE.
  3. Check if DTC of ethernet (DTC “U288C-88”) is detected in "Diagnostic Trouble Code" of “8ch CAN GATEWAY 2”
Is DTC of ethernet detected?
Replace the 8CH CAN gateway (Refer to Removal and Installation), and .
8CH CAN gateway. Refer to Removal and Installation.
 
3.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE-1
  1. Erases all Diagnostic Trouble Code results with M.U.T.-III SE.
  2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to DTC Description.
Is DTC “U278C-87” detected as the current malfunction?
Replace the combination meter (Refer to Removal and Installation), and .
INSPECTION END
 
4.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE-2
  1. Erases all Diagnostic Trouble Code results with M.U.T.-III SE.
  2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to DTC Description.
Is DTC “U278C-87” detected as the current malfunction?
Replace the ethernet harness between combination meter and 8CH CAN gateway.
