Diagnosis Procedure
1.
CHECK AIMING MOTOR DRIVE SIGNAL CIRCUIT (SHORT CIRCUIT)
Electric motor switch is OFF.
Lighting switch AUTO.
Disconnect IPDM E/R connector and headlight connector.
Check continuity between the IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair or replace harness.
2.
PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
Connect IPDM E/R and headlight connector.
Electric motor switch is ON.
Select “Diagnostic Trouble Code” mode of “IPDM E/R” using M.U.T.-III SE.
Erase DTC.
Electric motor switch is OFF.
Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE. Refer to
DTC Description

Is DTC detected?
.
INSPECTION END
3.
REPLACE HEADLIGHT
Replace headlight. Refer to
Removal and Installation
.
Electric motor switch is ON.
Select “Diagnostic Trouble Code” mode of “IPDM E/R” using M.U.T.-III SE.
Erase DTC.
Electric motor switch is OFF.
Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE. Refer to
DTC Description

Is DTC detected?
Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to
Removal and Installation
