Light & rain sensorRefer to LIGHT AND RAIN SENSOR.
IPDM E/R
  • Controls the integrated smart FET, and supplies voltage to the load according with the request from BCM via CAN communication.
  • Transmits the control signal and request (via LIN communication) to the load according with the request from BCM via CAN communication.
BCM
  • Detects each switch condition by the combination switch reading function.
  • Exterior light ON/OFF is judged from each signal, and then a request is transmitted to IPDM E/R (via CAN communication) to controls the each lights.
  • It also transmits a status to the combination meter (via CAN communication) to turns indicator light ON/OFF.
Combination meterTurns the indicator light ON/OFF according to the status from BCM via CAN communication.
Combination switchLighting & turn signal switchInputs the each switch condition signal to BCM.

  • Intelligent auto light system has the auto light function.
    • Auto light function automatically turns ON/OFF the exterior lights*, depending on the outside brightness.
*: Headlight (LO/HI), front fog light, parking light, license plate light and tail light.

  • Headlight (HI) depend on the combination switch condition.
  • Front fog light does not turn ON automatically, but automatically turns OFF.
 
 
AUTO LIGHT FUNCTION
  • BCM detects the combination switch condition with the combination switch reading function.
  • BCM receives exterior light ON/OFF requests from the light & rain sensor by LIN communication line.
  • BCM judges the ON/OFF status of the exterior light according to ON/OFF requests from light & rain sensor and the vehicle condition.
  • BCM transmits each request signal to IPDM E/R and each status signal to combination meter via CAN communication, according to ON/OFF condition by the auto light function.
