DTC Detection Condition
B1004-1APassenger air bag module active vent
(Passenger Air bag Module Active Vent Deployment Control)
Diagnosis conditionWhen electric motor switch is ON.
Signal (terminal)Passenger air bag module (active vent) signal
ThresholdPassenger air bag module (active vent) circuits are shorted to each other
Diagnosis delay time2 seconds or more.
 
 
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Connection malfunction or short circuit of harness and connector
  • Internal malfunction of passenger air bag module (active vent)
  • Internal malfunction of air bag diagnosis sensor unit

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.CHECK DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE RESULT
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Electric motor switch ON.
  2. Perform "Diagnostic Trouble Code" mode of "AIR BAG" using M.U.T.-III SE.
Is malfunctioning part detected?
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
