Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK CONNECTOR AND TERMINAL
  1. Change the electric motor switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit).
  3. Disconnect the EBA-ECU.
  4. Check if there is open circuit or looseness in the connector.
  5. Check the terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
Repair / replace harness or connector, securely lock the connector.
 
2.CHECK EBA-ECU
M.U.T.-IIISE
  1. Erase the DTC set in "EBA".
  2. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
  3. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON)
    noteWait at least 10 seconds after change the electric motor switch to ON,
  4. Start the engine, and drive the vehicle for a short time.
    noteVehicle must be driven after repair or replacement to erase the previous DTCs.
  5. Stop the vehicle.
  6. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code for “EBA".
Is DTC "C106C-64" detected?
Replace the EBA-ECU. Refer to Removal and installation.
 
3.CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT)
M.U.T.-IIISE
  1. Erase the DTC set in "ABS".
  2. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
  3. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON)
    noteWait at least 10 seconds after change the electric motor switch to ON,
  4. Start the engine, and drive the vehicle for a short time.
    noteVehicle must be driven after repair or replacement to erase the previous DTCs.
  5. Stop the vehicle.
  6. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code for “ABS".
Is DTC "C106C-64" detected?
Replace the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Removal and Installation.
