Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECKING CONNECTOR
  1. Disconnect 12V battery negative terminal.
  2. Check if there is open circuit or looseness in the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
Repair / replace harness or connector, securely lock the connector.
 
2.PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE
M.U.T.-IIISE
  1. Connect the 12V battery negative terminal, then wait for 30 seconds.
  2. Drive the vehicle at approximately 50 km/h (31 mph) or more for approximately 2 minutes.
    noteVehicle must be driven after repair or replacement to erase the previous DTCs.
  3. Stop the vehicle.
  4. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
  5. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON)
    noteWait at least 10 seconds after change the electric motor switch to ON,
  6. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code for “ABS".
Is DTC "C1056-1C" detected?
INSPECTION END
 
3.CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the power supply circuit and ground circuit of the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
Repair / replace harness, connector, terminal, fuse, or fusible link.
 
4.ERASE THE DTC (1)
M.U.T.-IIISE
  1. Drive the vehicle at approximately 50 km/h (31 mph) or more for approximately 2 minutes.
    noteVehicle must be driven after repair or replacement to erase the previous DTCs.
  2. Stop the vehicle.
  3. Erase the DTC set in "ABS".
  4. Change the electric motor switch to OFF (Auto ACC function OFF) → ON → OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
: INSPECTION END
 
5.CHECKING TERMINAL
  1. Disconnect 12V battery negative terminal.
  2. Check if there is damage tn the terminal, or looseness in the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
Replace the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Removal and Installation.
Repair / replace harness or connector.
 
6.ERASE THE DTC (2)
M.U.T.-IIISE
  1. Connect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Drive the vehicle at approximately 50 km/h (31 mph) or more for approximately 2 minutes.
    noteVehicle must be driven after repair or replacement to erase the previous DTCs.
  3. Stop the vehicle.
  4. Erase the DTC set in "ABS".
  5. Change the electric motor switch to OFF (Auto ACC function OFF) → ON → OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
