Work Procedure
 
 
TPMS REGISTRATION WITH TPMS TRANSMITTER ACTIVATE TOOL (MB993012)
noteMake sure to use the latest version of the TPMS transmitter activate tool (MB993012).
 
 
"TPMS ID Registration" method
With scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE)
  1. Adjust the tire pressure for all tires to the recommended value. Refer to Tire Air Pressure.
  2. Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON.
  3. Using the scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE), select "Special Function" in "BCM". Then, select "TPMS ID Registration."
  4. Select "OK" on "TPMS ID Registration" screen.
  5. Turn on the TPMS transmitter activate tool (MB993012).
  6. Hold the TPMS transmitter activate tool against the side of the left front tire, near the valve.
  7. Operate the TPMS transmitter activate tool (MB993012) to emit electric waves to the tire pressure sensor. Once the sensor is activated, the hazard warning light will flash and the sensor ID will appear on the scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE) screen.
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the remaining tires in this order: right front, right rear and left rear.
  9. When ID registration is complete, check the following pattern at each wheel.

  10. Once all sensors have been activated, select "End" on the scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE) to finish ID registration.
