Inspection Procedure 3: The indicator on the normal charging cable does not illuminate normally. (Detection of high temperature)
 
 
 
 
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
When the normal charging cable is hot, the indicator on the normal charging cable illuminates or blinks as follows.
  • READY (GREEN): Blink
  • POWER (ORANGE): Blink or OFF
  • FAULT (RED): Blink
noteEven if the charging system is normal, the plug may get hot due to heat generation by energization.
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Malfunction of the normal charging cable
noteThe trouble may occur due to the following factors.
• Malfunction of the external power supply equipment.
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
1.Check of the external power supply equipment
Check the following contents.
  • The outlet is not loosened.
  • The outlet has no rust or dirt.
Is the check result normal?
Ask the user to inspect the external power supply equipment.
 
2.Check of the normal charging cable.
Check the normal charging cable (Refer to CHARGING CABLE CHECK).
Is the check result normal?
Replace the normal charging cable.
 
3.Retest the system.
noteIf the level of the drive battery is high, the charging current is small and the symptom may not reproduce even if there is a problem. Check after reducing the level of the drive battery to some extent.
Does the trouble symptom persist?
Replace the normal charging cable.
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).
