BATTERY MODULE TEMPERATURE SENSOR CHECK
Required Special Tools:
  • MB991223: Wiring harness set
  • MB992006: Extra fine probe
1. Measure the resistance between the following terminals of the battery module temperature sensors.
(1) Measure the resistance between the following terminals of the battery module temperature sensor No. 1 connector.
TerminalStandard value
12At –10°C (14°F): 17.76 to 18.68 kΩ
At 25°C (77°F) : 3.96 to 4.04 kΩ
At 60°C (140°F): 1.135 to 1.187 kΩ
23Continuity exist (2 Ω or less)
(2) Measure the resistance between the following terminals of the battery module temperature sensor No. 2 connector.
TerminalStandard value
21At –10°C (14°F): 17.76 to 18.68 kΩ
At 25°C (77°F) : 3.96 to 4.04 kΩ
At 60°C (140°F): 1.135 to 1.187 kΩ
13Continuity exist (2 Ω or less)
(3) Measure the resistance between the following terminals of the battery module temperature sensor No. 3 connector.
TerminalStandard value
12At –10°C (14°F): 17.76 to 18.68 kΩ
At 25°C (77°F) : 3.96 to 4.04 kΩ
At 60°C (140°F): 1.135 to 1.187 kΩ
23Continuity exist (2 Ω or less)
(4) Measure the resistance between the following terminals of the battery module temperature sensor No. 4 connector.
TerminalStandard value
12At –10°C (14°F): 17.76 to 18.68 kΩ
At 25°C (77°F) : 3.96 to 4.04 kΩ
At 60°C (140°F): 1.135 to 1.187 kΩ
23Continuity exist (2 Ω or less)
2. If the check result deviates from the standard value, replace the failed battery module temperature sensor (Refer to ).
