EV COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION
Required Special Tools:
  • MB991223: Wiring harness set
  • MB992006: Extra fine probe
1. While immersing the temperature sensing part of the EV coolant temperature sensor into hot water, measure the resistance between connector terminals.
Standard value:
  • 7.0 to 11.4 kΩ [at –10 ± 0.5°C (14 ± 0.9°F)]
  • 2.37 to 2.63 kΩ [at 20 ± 0.5°C (68 ± 0.9°F)]
  • 0.68 to 1.00 kΩ [at 50 ± 0.5°C (122 ± 0.9°F)]
  • 0.236 to 0.260 kΩ [at 90 ± 0.1°C (194 ± 0.18°F)]
  • 0.143 to 0.153 kΩ [at 110 ± 0.1°C (230 ± 0.18°F)]
  • 0.050 to 0.065 kΩ [at 150 ± 0.1°C (302 ± 0.18°F)]
2. If the resistance value is not the standard value, replace the EV coolant temperature sensor.
