DTC No. U2153-87 Lost Communication With A/C
 
 
 
 
DTC SET CONDITION
Check Condition
  • The power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON.
Judgment Criterion
  • The CAN signal from the A/C amp. can not be received for 2 seconds or more.
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Malfunction of the CAN bus line (drivetrain CAN1, vehicle CAN2, vehicle CAN3)
  • Malfunction of the 8CH CAN gateway power supply circuit
  • Malfunction of the 8CH CAN gateway
  • Malfunction of the BCM power supply circuit
  • Malfunction of the BCM
  • Malfunction of the A/C amp. power supply circuit
  • Malfunction of the A/C amp.
  • Malfunction of the PHEV-ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
1.Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Diagnose the CAN bus line (Refer to CAN Fundamental - Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).
