CANISTER PLUGGED OR DAMAGE INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the following connectors from the ELCM and bypass valve.
  • Vacuum hose connector
  • Fuel vapor hose connector
  • Fuel vapor control line connector
2. Apply a negative pressure of -5 kPa (-0.73 psi)  to the connection port (A) of the ELCM fuel vapor control line connector and check if the negative pressure is maintained. Herein, block the ports to which the fuel vapor hose connector (B) and the vacuum hose connector (C) are connected with a finger or the like.
3. Apply a negative pressure of -5 kPa (-0.73 psi) to the connection port (A) of the fuel vapor control line connector; alternately block the ports (B) (C) to which the fuel vapor hose connector and vacuum hose connector connect to and make sure ventilation occurs through the port that is not blocked.
