ComponentFunction
Combination switchInputs the each switch condition signal to BCM.
Optical sensor*1The optical sensor outputs voltage signals to the BCM according to the brightness of the ambient light.
Light & rain sensor*2The light & rain sensor signals to the BCM according to the brightness of the ambient light.
BCM
  • Detects each switch condition by the combination switch reading function.
  • Inputs the optical sensor signal from optical sensor.*1
  • Inputs the light & rain sensor signal from light & rain sensor.*2
  • Outputs the position light request signal to combination meter.
Combination meterTurns ON/OFF the illuminations according to the request from BCM.
*1: Without light & rain sensor
*2: With light & rain sensor

Each illumination is controlled by each function of BCM and combination meter.

ILLUMINATION CONTROL
  • BCM detect combination switch condition by the combination switch reading function.
  • BCM transmits position light request signal to combination meter according to tail light ON condition. Refer to System Description.
  • Combination meter enters in the nighttime mode according to position light request signal and provides the power supply to each illumination.
