Diagnosis conditionWhen Ignition switch is ON.

Threshold
  • Communication malfunction of occupant detection system control unit
  • Communication blank of occupant detection system control unit
Diagnosis delay time2 seconds or more.
 
 
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Connection malfunction or open circuit of harness and connector
  • Internal malfunction of occupant detection system control unit
  • Internal malfunction of air bag diagnosis sensor unit

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.CHECK SELF-DIAG RESULT
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Perform “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AIR BAG” using M.U.T.-III SE.
Is malfunctioning part detected?
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
